Our Black Eyed Beans are certified organic, triple-cleaned and perfect for baking & cooking purposes. Black eyed beans are also commonly referred to as black eyedpeas, but they are in fact, legumes (beans). Black eyed beans come from the cowpea family, which is why they're sometimes called "peas".

Convenient & safe storage

When you store Black Eyed Beans (Peas) at home, they need to be protected in a couple of ways. First, they need to be protected from a variety of little critters who'd like to get to them before you do. Weevils and rodents, for example. You also need to protect your Black Eyed Beans (Peas) from picking up excessive additional moisture, which can be drawn from the atmosphere. The buckets our Black Eyed Beans (Peas) come in provide full protection against these storage risks. They have airtight gasket-sealed lids and oxygen absorber packets that remove the oxygen from the air in the bucket after we put the lid on. The O2 absorbers leave an atmosphere of nitrogen in the bucket (because air is mainly oxygen and nitrogen).

Super-cleaned

Our organic Black Eyed Beans (Peas) have a shelf life of 10+ years when unopened and stored in a cool, dark, dry environment.

It's also a common choice for rice and bean dishes. Black Eyed Beans are low-oxalate beans, which makes them a great choice for those on a low-oxalate diet.
