Hippo Pygmy Mill

VERSATILE SMALL HAMMER MILL

The Pygmy is the smallest hammer mill in the Hippo range and is popular for home industries. They’re often used to grind spices, herbs and grain. It's also excellent for shredding plastics and foam. The simple construction and operation and affordable price makes this the ideal mill for startup businesses and small farms. The Pygmy is not suitable for grinding glass or hardwood chips.

HAMMER MILL AND SILAGE/GARDEN REFUSE CHOPPER

The mill can be set, to either run as a hammer mill, or as a silage chopper. Operated as a hammer miill, indeed with be through the top-mounted hopper, with output particle size determined by the size of the holes in the interchangeable screens, and material exiting the bottom discharge. When operated as a silage/refuse chopper, material such as plant stalks or small woody stems (under 20mm diameter) is fed through the side inlet of the mill, where it is chopped by two blades mounted on the rotor. The blades and the hammer mill tips are replaceable when they get worn.
