| Has it been a while since you replaced your cooker's gasket? Gaskets need to be replaced periodically, as they harden over time and stop sealing, which causes pressure loss. It’s a gradual process that’s easy to overlook, but performance declines and before long your cooker won’t work at all. It's a good idea to keep a backup gasket on hand too, in case yours gets nicked or damaged by a stove burner, etc. You'll find all Kuhn Rikongaskets on this page. Another crucial part that requires periodic replacement is the UL/SI valve. You don't need to replace it until it starts losing pressure, but once it does, performance will go downhill fast.
