In early 2021, we could ship a 40' container from overseas in for $5800. Currently it's $17,400 to $27,000. If gas had gone up as much, it would now cost over $200 to fill up a Honda Pilot. And the last change in container shipping rates was upward again. Our resupply lead-time for some goods has increased by 12 months. There are many other factors as well, and the bottom line is that retail goods prices will be going up, and availability will be going down. Best materials: With its rugged yoke made of 1.5" steel tubing, a solid teak or stainless steel pressing basket and heavy gauge stainless steel pan, the MacIntosh cider press is built throughout with quality components that make it a joy to handle every time you use it. When shipped, the press legs are bolted down to a wooden board that you can use as a base, or reuse/recycle. The board prevents damage to the legs of the press during shipment.

These high strength pressing/strainer bags have holes approximately 1/32". Disposable cotton cheesecloth is the traditional material to use for this purpose, but these mesh bags are much handier and they're very durable—one bag will last more than a season in normal use. They also speed the pressing process. Size is 14.5" diameter x 20" tall and they also work perfectly in smaller baskets.
